Terms of Service

NOTE: All commissions are handled through VGen only.

GENERAL• You must be at least 18 years old to commission me.
• All artwork will be created in my art style, based on the descriptions and references you provide.
• I do not offer full character design services at the moment. I only draw existing characters, OCs, or sonas based on clear visual references.
• I reserve the right to decline any commission request if I am uncomfortable with the content or if it exceeds my current capabilities.

CONTENT GUIDELINESI specialise in colourful, atmospheric environments with a strong focus on storytelling using lighting and mood. I only draw existing characters, OCs, or sonas in my art style based on visual references. Alternate outfits, accessories, or props are welcome as long as references or mood boards are provided.What I will not draw:
• NSFW, explicit, intimate or sexual content
• Graphic violence or heavy gore
• Highly realistic or mechanical designs
• Real-life people (e.g., influencers, celebrities)
• Anthro or furry characters
• Overtly romantic or intimate ship content (platonic, friendship-based, or light dynamics are fine)
• Hateful, offensive, controversial, or illegal themesPlease reach out before submitting a request if you have any questions. I’m happy to clarify and discuss ideas that may fall into a grey area.
For example,
I'm fine with drawing emotionally intense or eerie atmospheric scenes as long as it doesn’t include explicit or graphic violence, or depicting canon/fanon ships and multiple characters together in a platonic or friendship-based context rather than an intimate one. This includes avoiding romantic or physically intimate actions even if the piece is otherwise SFW.

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS• Payment must be made upfront and processed ONLY through VGen.
• No refunds, whether full or partial, will be issued once I’ve started work on the commission.
• Refunds will be provided only if I am unable to complete the commission due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., health issues or emergencies)

REVISIONS• You may request up to two revisions during the initial concept phase (sketch or thumbnail). This does not apply to Surprise Me/Skeb-style commissions.
• For Surprise Me/Skeb-style commission, no WIP will be provided. Only one round of minor mistake fix is applicable before final delivery.
• Once a concept is approved, only minor modifications will be accepted (e.g., fixing or adding small details, colour tweaks or corrections).
• Major changes (e.g., pose changes, adding elements not discussed earlier, or full rework of the composition) will not be accommodated after the artwork has progressed beyond the concept stage.
• Please provide clear and specific instructions in your request, and give timely feedback during the WIP phase to avoid delays or misunderstandings.
• If no specific description is provided, I will proceed based on my interpretation.
• If I do not receive a response to a WIP or revision request within 7 days, I may proceed with the artwork based on my best judgment.General Art Process for Environment/Backgrounds (not including Skeb-style commission):• A rough thumbnail or layout concept (usually greyscale) will be provided for approval.
• Up to two rounds of layout or composition-related revisions are allowed at the thumbnail stage. You may request me to add or remove any element or change the composition at this stage.
• Once the concept is approved and the final work begins, only minor adjustments are possible, such as slight colour shifts, refining an approved element or shape, or correcting a small detail I may have missed.
• I will not add new or missing elements, or do major reworks, such as altering the overall composition, adjusting the position of any character or prop and so on.
• Final delivery is done once you approve the finished piece.

DEADLINES AND DELIVERY• Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the piece, my current queue, and overall schedule. Artworks with a lot of heavy environmental details may require more time in general.
• Standard delivery time is usually between 2-4 weeks, but this may vary. Highly detailed background pieces may take up to 6-8 weeks.
• If there is any delay on my end, I will inform you in advance and keep you updated.
• If you need the artwork by a specific date or deadline, please mention it in the request form, so I can decide whether it's possible.
• Rush orders may be considered for an additional fee, depending on my availability.

USE• All commissioned artwork is for personal, non-commercial use by default. (Examples: profile pictures, banners, personal wallpapers, etc.)
• Monetised (e.g., Twitch/YouTube thumbnails, promotional material, etc) or commercial use (e.g., merchandise, printed media, digital reselling, branding, etc) must be clearly stated in the request form and will require an additional fee.
• You may not claim the artwork as your own, nor may you trace, edit, or heavily modify it without explicit permission.
• Unauthorised reproduction, resale, or redistribution is strictly prohibited, whether for profit or not.
• My artwork may NOT be used in any form for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or to train AI models.
• Please credit me wherever possible when sharing the finished artwork publicly on social media.
• You may print the commissioned artwork for your personal use or as a gift for someone else. However, resale, distribution, or use in any commercial context is strictly not allowed for personal-use commissions.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS• The copyright of all commissioned artwork remains with Karasu, the artist.
• I retain the right to use completed works for self-promotional purposes, including portfolio, social media, and commission samples.
• If you prefer your commission not be publicly shared, a privacy fee will apply.

COMMUNICATION• If you have any questions before ordering, feel free to reach out to me. I’m happy to brainstorm and help clarify anything.
• I typically respond within 24 hours, but response times may vary slightly depending on my schedule.
• If I do not receive communication during the process for more than 7 days without notice, I may move forward using my best judgment or place the commission on hold.
• I strive to maintain a respectful and professional working relationship. If any communication becomes rude, harmful, or inappropriate, I reserve the right to cancel the commission and decline future requests.
